SPTel’s deployment of its quantum-safe network has not gone unnoticed. In 2025, it won two awards at the Asian Telecom Awards for Network and Security Integration and Technology Innovation. The network features physically separate fibre lines and ultra-low latency (<1ms), making it ideal for quantum key transmission. Banks Step In: MAS and the Financial Sector Join the Push

In 2024, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and top banks including DBS, HSBC, OCBC, and UOB signed an MoU with SPTel and SpeQtral. The goal? To explore and deploy QKD within financial services, ensuring that cryptographic communications stay secure even as quantum computers advance.

Singtel is pioneering Southeast Asia’s first nationwide quantum-safe network, playing a central role in the NQSN+. Appointed by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singtel is offering enterprise trial programs that let businesses test-drive quantum-safe technologies before committing to adoption.

Its infrastructure supports a broad range of network and security devices, extending protection to identity, mobility, and authentication services.
