Singapore is taking a new role in the global race for construction innovation by hosting the inaugural Asia-Pacific (APAC) Pitch Day for the 10th edition of the Construction Startup Competition (CSC) in 2026. The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) says the debut of CSC in Singapore is meant to strengthen the city-state’s position as a regional hub for Construction Technology (ConTech), while creating more direct exchange between global solutions and local and regional Built Environment (BE) firms. The competition is hosted by Cemex Ventures, Caterpillar, Dysruptek by Haskell, Ferrovial, Hilti Venture, VINCI Group’s Leonard, NOVA by Saint-Gobain, Trimble, Zacua Ventures, and BCA.

The Singapore construction startup competition 2026 story is also tied to wider capital momentum in ConTech. BCA cites that global ConTech investment doubled from 2024 to reach USD 6.57 billion in 2025, the highest level of capital allocation to date. In the same year, the APAC region accounted for almost 20% of global ConTech investment. Against that backdrop, bringing an APAC Pitch Day to Singapore is positioned as a way to bridge global capital and regional innovation, while giving startups a pathway to industry recognition, pilots, funding, and partnerships.

How the APAC Pitch Day Works, and What Startups Compete On

The APAC Pitch Day is scheduled for Sept 2, 2026, at the ConTech Summit during the International Built Environment Week (IBEW) 2026. For the APAC track, applicants could submit from May 4 to June 28, and selected finalists would earn pitching exposure to investors and construction decision-makers, plus access to industry connections and potential pilot opportunities. The 2026 edition also defines five competition categories: pre-construction technologies; job-site productivity and building systems; climate tech for the built world; smart manufacturing and logistics; and smart buildings and infrastructure.

CSC’s scale is repeatedly framed by its track record and global reach. Since inception in 2017, the platform has empowered over 4,100 startups from over 80 countries across its past nine editions, according to BCA. As of 2025, 44 finalist start-ups advanced to the US and European Pitch Day events and collectively secured over US$448 million in investment. Singapore also has a named example: homegrown startup Ailytics, which develops AI-powered video analytics solutions for construction worksites, advanced to these events and was named a finalist winner at CSC’s European Pitch Day in 2025.

In 2026, the APAC funnel shows both breadth and selectivity. Cemex Ventures states the edition drew 798 applications from 62 countries, and six startups were selected to compete at the APAC Pitch Day in Singapore. BCA later reported that Civils.ai was crowned Gold Winner of the inaugural APAC Pitch Day, selected by a jury of global BE leaders, from APAC track winners that emerged from over 243 APAC applicants. In closing remarks at the ConTech Summit, Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, Mr Alvin Tan, said the inaugural APAC Pitch Day shows Singapore is growing into a regional hub for ConTech innovation by connecting inventors with builders and investors.
